Payment technology company AnywhereCommerce has signed a deal with merchant acquirer Heartland Payment Systems to be the flagship provider of Heartland’s Mobuyle mobile point-of-sale solution. The mPOS solution, available for both iOS and Android mobile operating systems, enables merchants to take credit, debit and gift card payments using a mobile device.
‘AnywhereCommerce’s product roadmap, excellent engineering, security features and compelling patents were all key elements to our choice of them as a partner. Overall, these elements support our long-term relationship objectives,’ said Mike English, executive director of product development at Heartland Payment Systems.
Mitchell Cobrin, founder and CEO of AnywhereCommerce, said Heartland is a natural partner for his company and that the Mobuyle solution is just the tip of the iceberg. ‘AnywhereCommerce also offers PCI and EMVCo approved mobile chip and PIN/chip and signature devices, which are well suited for the global mobile merchant sector,’ he said.
